In THE BIZ, this is what they call THE MONEY SHOT!
Maggie struts into the room and exclaims, "Tah dah!" She was so very proud of herself. As a mom, you gasp and simultaneously think of the clothes, the carpet, the furniture that's on it's way to the garbage. But, you're a good mom, so you keep those thoughts to yourself. "OOH LAH LAH" and "Maggie, you look like a princess" you say. Making sure that you take this opportunity for what it is, and take lots of pictures. Then, you go investigate. While I was exercising, Maggie found her favorite LIP (that's what she calls lipgloss) and very sneaky-like, took it to her room. While looking in the mirror (believe it or not), she decorated her cute little face and thought to herself "I look so cute. I need to go show momma." She was so happy with herself. The only casualty was her flower rug. It's a little price to pay for such a happy, little memory. What a cutie our little Magdalene is!

Maggie's Knee!
Here is the infamous knee! Just wanted to bring everybody up to date on what's going on with our Maggie. We've been to the pediatrician, who sent us to an orthopedic doctor, who sent us to a pediatric rheumatologist. We've done a whole rheumatology work-up, which blood tests and an exam by an opthamologist have been part of the protocal. We have yet to be contacted by the actual rheumatologist for an appointment, however. So, it's just a waiting game for now. Keep her in your prayers, please.

"Take Me Out To The Ball Game"
We LOVE baseball!! Opening Day 2008 at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington!! We took the kids out of school so that we could spend the day together. I think it will be a mandatory skip school day from now on. We got to the park to watch batting practice and each of the kids got a ball. It was pretty cool for them. Opening day is always a special day for those that love the game. There's nothing like being there for the first singing of The National Anthem and the military jet fly-over. At Ranger Stadium they also have an eagle that flies around while they wave the flag that covers the outfield. Then it's 'play ball'. We love it! GO RANGERS!! (I thought it was important to get this blog in before the all-star break)
